Completed three years of Geology at the University of British Columbia before transferring faculties and receiving my Bachelors degree in Economics in 1984, specializing in resource economics. Completed Canadian Securities Course in 1985 and became a stockbroker and mining analyst with Yorkton Securities in North Vancouver, B.C.
In 1989, he was hired by a group of mining companies based in Vancouver, B.C., for the position of Vice-President of Finance. During this tenure, I was instrumental in the completion of numerous secondary financings with brokerage firms. In 1991 started my own consulting company, Can Am Equity specializing in taking companies public and managing them on the TSX Venture Exchange.
In 1992 personally took Vantex Resources public on the TSX Exchange. This junior mining company had a small gold producing property in B.C., and a nickel/iron/cobalt discovery near Sept- Iles, Quebec just before the Bre-Ex affair. Sold the company to a friend in Quebec.
In 1997 started a public oil and gas company, Mount Dakota Energy Corp., with operations in Alberta, Canada. Over the past 16 years, I have had hands on experience in organizing, drilling, and completing oil and gas wells in Alberta. At its peak, Mount Dakota had almost 100bpd of oil production. Sold my position out in 2014 to a Chinese based investment fund.
Since 2014, started a private oil and gas company with flowing oil wells in Central, Alberta and sourcing mid-sized oil and gas projects for an investment fund out of China looking for assets in Alberta.
